Bag a bargain at Luna Blu Australia...

Bags - big ones, small ones, skinny ones, long ones! What would women do without bags? And not just one, right? We have our regular use bag, beach bag, going out bag, shopping bag and the list goes on...

But, we teachers are a special breed. If there was ever an occupation that relied on "bags" - it's teaching. Earlier in the year, I was involved in a minor car accident on the way to school and the other driver did not have a pen handy. "No problem!" I said. I reached into my bag sifting through an endless array of teacher "stuff". (You know the scene in Mary Poppins where she pulls a lamp out of her carpet bag? That was me.) I finally found the illusive pen and it was pink, with a fluffy end and a heart on top, that lit up when writing. The other driver had a little chuckle and asked "Are you a teacher?" At first I wondered what gave it away, but between the pen and the mountain of contents on the passenger's seat, you didn't have to be a genius!

Yes, teachers carry a lot of "stuff". Folders, books, papers, tissues, textas, and most days, our own lunch too. This doesn't even include the things that we women just seem to "have"! So, it's always a challenge to find a bag that's big enough and strong enough to carry all these things. A bag that is durable, practical, but still stylish. So when Luna Blu Australia asked me to give one of their bags a "school test", I was up for the challenge and thankfully, so was the bag!

Luna Blu Australia are a Queensland business, started by two besties and are based on the Gold Coast. They have a gorgeous selection of bags and accessories.

My "Megan" tote bag (as featured in the photos) is perfect for school. Not only is it big enough to hold pretty much "all of the above", but it is made of a unique oilcloth fabric, which is easy to wipe clean. (Cos let's face it, schools can be germy, dirty places!) It has a large internal compartment with zipped and open pockets. The zipped pocket on the back is the perfect size for your phone (no more fumbling around or missed calls) and like the outside, the 100% cotton lining is easy to clean.

But often, teachers need a bag that allows us to keep both our hands free for other bags! Solution? An adjustable and sturdy cotton strap that sits comfortably across your shoulder, so you can do just that!

Ok, so from a practical point of view, my "Megan" bag has got it covered, but let's get shallow and talk about appearances. As mentioned earlier, Luna Blu Australia specialises in vintage prints, in nearly every colour. I am dotty about spots! However, there is big selection of soft, floral prints available also. I love the print clash with the striped handle and strap, the vegan leather trim and the white stitch detail.

Luna Blu Australia's bags are hardy, roomy and pretty, at a great price! They are the perfect addition to any teacher's wardrobe, but if you're not a teacher, they also make a great beach bag or overnight bag and would be an ideal gift. Head over to www.lunabluaustralia.com.au and check out their range.

As an added incentive, if you buy one of their bags before the 8th September, 2015, my readers will receive a generous 20% off all of their gorgeous products (sale items excluded). Just enter the code teacher20 at the check out to receive your discount!

So go and bag yourself a bargain at Luna Blu Australia!
